How to notify to Search Engines-Change of URL – 301 reDirect

Search Engine Optimization is a smooth operation for streamlining the information transition to the Search Engines from your website. There are many reasons when you need to use the Direct 301 Http command to instruct search engines regarding the change in URL. usually you need reDirect 301 when

  • Change of Hosting Provider
  • Change of URL
  • Website access by many URL
  • Change of URL of a single page
  • Long URL of a page need to be shorten
  • Broken Links towards your website
  • Broken Links from your own website

There are 2 stages to implements the redirect, one is server side implementation and the other is .htaccess file.
